ERTUĞRUL BEY
Osmanlı Şehzadesi Ertuğrul bey (Yıldırım bayezıd'ın oğlu) 1376'da doğmuştur Aydın'da sancak Beyliği yapmıştır Ertuğrul Beyin Babası Yıldırım Bayezıd han tarafından Anadolu Beylikleri arasında birliği sağlamakla görevlendirilmiştir kendisinin komutanlık yaptığı Osmanlı Ordusu ile Sivas ta egemen olan Kadı Burhanettin'in Çorum civarındaki kırkdilim mevkiinde yapmış oldukları savaşta 1398'de ölmüştür cenazesi daha sonra Bursa'ya getirilmiştir
Söylenceye göre :Yıldırım Bayezıd bizzat kendisinin katıldığı Rumeli Seferinden dönerken Askerleri ile birlikte mola verdiği alanda Kaval sesini işitir ve o yöne doğru gider Kaval sesi koyunlarını otlatan bir çobana aittir çobanı sessizce dinler ve oldukca hüzünlenir çoban Yıldırım Bayezıd'ı farkedince Kaval çalmayı keser ve ayağa kalkar Yıldırım Bayezıd ise biraz sitemkar birazda hüzünle çobana "çal çoban çal sen ne çorum gibi bir şehrini ne de Ertuğrul gibi bir oğlunu kaybettin.."der ve çobana bahşiş vererek oradan uzaklaşır.

The Ottoman prince Ertuğrul bey (son of Yıldırım Bayezıd) was born in 1376 he has established the sancak principality in Aydın Ertuğrul Bey had been entruted by his father Yıldırım Bayezıd han with the task to unify the Anotolian principalities he died in the battle at kırkdilim mevkii near Çorum where Kadhi Burhanettin became prevailing at Sivas in 1398. as commander of the Ottoman Army later his funeral were brought to Bursa According to a legend Yıldırım Bayezıd who participared in the rumelian campaign herd the sound of a shepherd's pipe at the place where he stopped for a rest together with his soldiers while he was returning after this battle and he stepped forward towards this sound the sound of the shepherd's pipe came from a shepherd whose let this cheep graze he listened quietly to the shepherd and became quite sad when the shepherd became awere of the prensence of Yıldırım bayezıd he stopped playıng his pipe and stood up Yıldırım Bayezıd howewer said to the shepherd in a somewhat reproachful manner and a somewhat melancholic mood:"play you neither have lost a city like .Çorum nor a son like Ertuğrul.." and tipping the shepherd he went of that place
