MAUSOLEUM OF PRINCE AHMET

ŞEHZADE AHMET TÜRBESİ MURADİYE KÜLLİYE'Sİ
Türbe II.Bayezıd'ın oğlu Şehzade Ahmet için Yavuz Sultan Selim'in H.919-M.1513 tarihli bir fermanıyla inşa ettirilmiştir yapının mimarı Alaaddin bina emini Bedreddin Mahmut bey katipleri'de Ali Yusuf Muhiddin ve Mehmet efendidir kapı boşluğu basık kemerli mermer çerçeveli olup kündekarı tekniğindeki (çivi veya başka bir baglayacı kullanılmadan birbirine geçmeli ahşap parçalardan oluşan ) kapısı özenli işçiliğe sahiptir Türbenin kubbesinde ve kubbe eteğinde kalem işi bezemeler yer almaktadır türbede altı adet mermer mezar bulunmaktadır mezarlar tuğla zemin üzerinde yer alan mermer bir platform üzerinde yer alır Türbede Şehzade Ahmet annesi Bülbül Hatun kardeşi Şahinşah Şahinşah'ın oğlu Mehmet ve Yavuzun kardeşi Şehzade Korkut gömülüdürler diğer sandukanın kime ait olduğu bilinmemektedir 2013-2014. yılları arasında Bursa Büyük Şehir Belediyesi tarafından geniş kapsamlı restorasyona tabi tutulan Türbe 2014. yılında UNESCO dünya mirası olarak ilan edilen alan içerisinde yer almaktadır.

MAUSOLEUM OF PRINCE AHMET
This mausoleum was built for shahzade (prince) Ahmet the son of bayezıd II.according to an edict
given by Yavuz Sultan Selim in 919.A.H.(A.D.1513) the architect of this structure is Alaaddin the building's guart is Bedreddin Mahmut bey and its clerks are Ali Yusuf Muhiddin and Mehmet Efendi respectively the door opening has a marble door case with a drop arch the door itself is made with "kundekari"technique (without using any nails or other connecting materials only using interconnecting timber pieces) with fine workmanship there are hand-drawn ornaments on the mausoleum's dome and on the dome's skirt respectively ınside this mausoloum there are six marble tombs these tombs are sutuated on a marble platform built on a brick-built floor Shahzade (pırince) Ahmet Bulbul Hatun his mother Shehinshah his younger brother Mehmed the son of Shehinshah and Korkut the brother of Yavuz are buried in this mausoleum there is another sarcophagus in this mausoleum whose identity is unknown ıt is presumed that also the tomb of Shahzadah (pırince) Korkud the younger brother of Yavuz might be situated here although the other sarcophagi are different in appearence it is believed that these are the sarcophagi of sofu Sultan the daughter of Shahzadah (prince) Ahmed.the mausoleum which was thoroughly restored by Bursa metropolitan municipality between 2013 and 2014 is located in the site which was inscribed on the UNESCO world haritage list in 2014.
