TUZ HAN

Han 1454 yılında kara Timurtaş paşa'nın oğlu umur bey tarafından kendi adıyla anılan camisine gelir getirmesi amacıyla akar niteliğinde yaptırılmıştır dikdörtgen avlu etrafında iki katlı olarak sıralanmış üzerleri beşik tonoz ile örtülü odalardan oluşur odaların önünde ise yine tonozlarla örtülü revaklı kısım bulunur yapının doğu batı ve güney cephelerinde tonoz örtülü revak ikinci kata kalan kuzey cephede ise ahşap revak görülmektedir yapının duvarları kesme taş ve tuğla ile örülmüştür üst katta 23 alt katta 20 odası bulunmaktadır yapı Bursa'nın en küçük hanlarından biridir yapının kemer ve tonoz içleri yapılan restorasyonla sıvanmış avluya bakan cepheleri ise taş ve tuğla dokusuyla gösterilmiştir yapı avlusunda ve dış cephesinde iki sıra kirpi saçak kullanılmıştır yapıda üst kat odalarının bacaları da taş ve tuğladan yapılarak üzeri alaturka kiremitle örtülmüştür Osmangazi Belediyesinin tarih ve kültür yolu canlandırma projesi kapsamında yer alan önemli bölgelerinden biri olan çarşı bölgesinde yürüttüğü en önemli çalışmaları arasındadır yapılışından bugüne değin muhtelif zamanlarda kısmi onarımlar geçiren han daha sonra kaderine terk edilerek bir anlamda çarşının arka deposu niteliğinde kullanılmıştır tuz pazarı caddesinde bulunan hanın varlığı restorasyon öncesi algılanamaz durumdaydı hanın iç kısmı ise tarihi görünümünden yoksun harap ve düzensiz bir haldeydi tamamı özel mülkiyette bulunan hanın tüm olumsuzluklardan kurtarılması yeniden hayata döndürülmesi amacıyla Osmangazi belediyesi tarafından onaylı restorasyon projesi üzerinden uygulama ihalesi 2006 şubat ayında yapılmıştır han nın mülk sahipleri ve han derneği ile birlikte restorasyon çalışmasını etkileyen güçlükler ve olumsuzlukların giderilmesinin ardından haziran 2006 tarihinde fiilen başlanmıştır han girişi ve hana ait okçular çarşısına bakan dükkan cepheleri ahşap katlanır kepenk ve ahşap saçak silmesi ile yapılmış tarihi dokuya uygun hale getirilerek han nın dışardan da algılanırlığı sağlanmıştır restorasyon kapsamında tuz pazarı caddesinde bulunan ana giriş kapısı haricinde nilüfer köylü pazarı tarafından bir giriş daha açılarak  yaya sirkülasyonun arttırılması amaçlanmıştır mayıs 2007 tarihinde tamamlanan restorasyon çalışmasıyla tuz hanın makus talihi değişmiş tekrar özgün yapısına kavuşturulan tuz han tarihi Bursa çarşısındaki önemli yerini yeniden almıştır.

TUZZ INN

the ınn was construcded as a real estate in 1454 bu umur bey son of timurtaş paşa as a finansal income source for the umur bey mosgue the building is constructed araund a sguare court with two flors each of these floors being covered with gable arch in front of the rooms there there is an arcade part covered with gable arch there is a gable arch covered arcede at the east west and south sides of the building and a wooden arcade at the north side through where it can be moved upstairs the walls of the building are constructed of hewn stones and bricks the building includes 23 rooms in the upstairs and 20 rooms at the downstaırs the inn is one of the smallest inns of bursa inside of arches of the building are plastered by the restoration sides looking to the courd show stone and brick texture at the court and outer side of the building two row hedgehog eaves are used upstairs chimneys of the building are constructed with stone and brick and covered with türkişh style tile restoration of this building is among one of the important restoration works carried out in the one of the most important regions of bursa the bazaar region under the project for the reconstruction of historical and cultural road by Osmangazi municipality since its consruction the building undergoes some partial restoration works in various times there after it is abandoned to ıts fate and used as a depot for the bazaar the building was not drawing attention before the restoration the inside of the building was away from its original appearence it was damaged and disordered the inn was a pravate estate in order to reconstruct and rescue the inn from all those negalivities in february of 2006 Osmangazi municipality calls for tenders over the approved restoration poreject the work starts up actually on june of 2006 following the termination of negativities blocking the restoration works in cooperition with the owner of the inn and inn foundation the sides of the stores at the inn entrance and those looking to the okçular bazaar heve been recostructed with pliable shutter and wooden eave which made the inn fitting the historical texture and more perceivable under the restoration exceptfor the main gate at the tuzpazarı road with the intention of increasing the food passenger ciculation a new entrance has been opened from the nilüfer villager bazaar.
